Biography:
Jayasinghe completed his undergraduate and postgraduate medical studies in Sri Lanka and moved to UK as an RCS-England international fellow in 2019. After completing a two-year advanced colorectal fellowship at Royal London hospital, he joined as a consultant surgeon to the same department and served for 3 years gaining further experience in both elective and emergency colorectal surgery, with special emphasis to minimal invasive surgery. he has obtained fellowships from the Royal college of surgeons of England, European board of surgery and is currently working as a consultant colorectal surgeon at Royal Lancaster infirmary. In addition to clinical care, he is actively involved in clinical research, led several NIHR research projects as principal and associate investigator, published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals and a GMC recognised clinical trainer for both undergraduate and postgraduate surgical trainees in UK.
